Elizabeth Nungaray is a Southside Chicago activist, artist, and cultural producer that centers her work on social equity, liberatory practices for working class black and brown communities with an emphasis on racial and environmental justice. Elizabeth is the Engagement Manager at Free Street Theater. She has worked with Chicago Shakespeare, Goodman Theatre, 2nd Story, Los Angeles Theater Center, Center Theater Group, Greenway Court Theater, El Teatro Campesino, Su Teatro, Hackney Empire (London) and Netflix. During her 11 years at Teatro Luna she devised and produced new work across the country. Elizabeth has trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (physical theatre) , Columbia College (Theater & Cultural Studies), artEquity Fellow and a National Association of Latino Arts and Culture (NALAC) Leadership Fellow. She serves as an advisory board member at Neighbors for Environmental Justice. She is a featured storyteller ( "Calladita Te Vez Mas Bonita") on an Audible Original Talking While Female and Other Dangerous Acts.
